THERE’S SNOWPLACE LIKE A DECEMBER FLY HAPPY HOUR

Need a break from the holiday madness? Come mix it up with some other communications professionals at Framingham Beer Works for an hour or so after work. Conveniently located between Route 9 and Route 30, you can escape the hustle and bustle while enjoying a cold brew with some kindred folks. VP of Programming, Matt Goldberg, will be your host this month. We promise, it’s going to be un-brr-ievable!

What’s A FLY Happy Hour?

A chance to end your work day by meeting up with fellow communicators in your area – Folks Like You (FLY). These informal, small-group get-togethers allow practitioners to share ideas, gain insight into and find solutions to our common communications challenges.

Limited to 10 seats

FLY Happy Hours are open to both IABC members and non-members – just pay for your own drinks/apps. This is a great opportunity to explore IABC or bring along a friend or co-worker who is considering IABC membership and wants to experience firsthand how our professional networking and idea sharing works.

If this FLY Happy Hour is not in your work neighborhood, please stay tuned. IABC members are hosting FLY breakfast, lunch, and happy hour events each month in a variety of areas and neighborhoods. Check the IABC Boston calendar and join us for one near you.

An interactive workshop with Pinaki Kathiari – CEO, Local Wisdom

The art of getting messages to audiences and moving them to take action is daunting. Especially in this crazy world where the increase of disruption and information is staggering. As communicators and marketers we gamble our investment on strategies that bring the best business returns.

The wisdom within all of us is powerful. This down and dirty, simple and fun, interactive session allows participants to anonymously share their mission and brainstorm ideas. It all happens within a framework designed to output the key elements to a communications strategy. And we’ll do this using paper airplanes.

In this highly interactive workshop, you’ll learn frameworks to:
• Draft a departmental mission and define key messages
• Define experiences that will move your audience to action
• Define communication channels to host and promote your messages

Agenda:

Light networking from 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Workshop from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Food and beverages will be provided.
